El Corro es la palabra privada de la sociedad: hablas con quien quieras, y solo vosotros podéis leerlo. El cifrado de extremo a extremo no es un ajuste que se pueda apagar —es la base—. Quien sirve el mensaje solo ve ruido; nosotros incluidos. La privacidad no se promete: se demuestra con matemáticas.
The Circle is the society's private word: you talk to whom you wish, and only you can read it. End-to-end encryption is not a setting that can be switched off —it is the foundation—. Whoever relays the message sees only noise; us included. Privacy is not promised: it is proven with mathematics.
- Cifrado de extremo a extremo, por defecto. Tu mensaje se cifra en tu dispositivo y solo se descifra en el del destinatario; las claves viven contigo. Ni un juez, ni nosotros, ni quien controle un nodo lo pueden leer.
- End-to-end encrypted, by default. Your message is encrypted on your device and decrypted only on the recipient's; the keys live with you. Not a judge, not us, not whoever controls a node can read it.
- Tu máscara es tu identidad. Hablas con la misma clave con la que entras, comercias y votas: sin teléfono, sin nombre, sin libreta de contactos. Nadie mapea tu círculo desde fuera.
- Your mask is your identity. You speak with the same key you sign in, trade and vote with: no phone, no name, no contact book. No one maps your circle from outside.
- Sin servidor que un Estado pueda apagar. Se apoya en la red de nodos, no en un servidor central incautable; con transporte cebolla (.onion) por la red Tor previsto.
- No server a State can switch off. It rests on the node network, not a seizable central server; onion (.onion) transport over the Tor network is planned.
- Criptografía abierta, no casera. Protocolos estándar auditados durante años (el linaje de Signal y Matrix: Double Ratchet / megolm), nunca cifrado inventado. Público y revisable: la seguridad por oscuridad no es seguridad.
- Open cryptography, not homegrown. Standard protocols audited for years (the lineage Signal and Matrix use: Double Ratchet / megolm), never invented encryption. Public and reviewable: security by obscurity is not security.
